langkah-langkah mengkonfigurasi squid pada fedora core
pertama ketik perintah :

#nano /etc/squid/squid.conf

dan akan muncul berlembar2 konfigurasi squid

ada tiga hal yang perlu dikonfigurasikan.

untuk mencari ketiga hal tersebut anda dapat mengetikkan ctrl+w kemudian ketikkan apa yang akan dicari. contoh http_port

1. HTTP_Port

2. visible_hostname

3. ACCESS CONTROLS

http port default pada squid yaitu 3128 kita bisa menggantinya sesuai keinginan asal belum digunakan pada port lain.

visible hostname untuk memudahkan kita dalam pencaharian kesalahan. contoh

visible_hostname ronisafar.com <=== hanya sebagai contoh

ACCESS CONTROLS dalam hal ini kita akan membuat suatu allow and deny terhadap host˛ yang kita miliki. serta situs˛ yang akan di access

kita akan mengisi pada bagian acal yang tidak memiliki #

acl ……… src ip add

acl ronisafar.com src 192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0 dalam hal ini kita memberikan izin bagis emua ip antara 192.168.10.1 – 192.168.10.254 untuk menggunakan access internet.

terus kita akan mengisi pada bagian allow all dan deny all

usahakan yang akan diberikan access disi diatasnya deny all

http access allow all

http access allow ronisafar.com

http access deny all

apabila kita ingin memblokir salah satu ip misalkan ip 192.168.10.5. maka kita akan merubah access yang diberikan dengan menambahkan :

acl dongeng.com src 192.168.10.5/255.255.255.255 pada bagian acl

dan deny dongeng.com dibagian atas dari ronisafar.com pada bagian allow and deny

setelah melakukan konfigurasi tersebut anda dapat merestart squid anda dengan perintah

service squid restart
